Services
Walker Lake Breeze Inc. provides services to developmental disabled individuals in our homes or in the community. We offer a much preferred alternative to nursing homes or hospitals.
Our services were designed to promote the independence and individuality of those in our care. We have trained and experience staff who can give individuals access to services and programs such as:
- Community Residential Alternatives
- Community Access
- Specialized Medical Supplies
- Behavioral Supports Consultation
- Financial Support Services
- Host Homes
- Group Homes
- Supported Employment
- Transportation
We have a Registered Nurse on staff who can respond to the multifaceted needs of individuals in our home. In case there is an emergency, we will contact a medical agency. Follow-up care for illnesses or health issues can be met through the individual’s personal physician or home health care provider. In events like these, the family of the individual will be contacted. In some cases, physical therapy or other home health care programs may be ordered by the physician depending on the need. Such services will be in conjunction with regular routine care at Walker Lake Breeze Inc.
There are no formal visiting hours because our homes are first and foremost informal. This means that visitors may come to the home throughout the day. Individuals may also leave with their friends and family as long as they sign-out and inform the staff of their expected time of return.
